We have received numerous requests to offer more information about how to go plant-based. We often have speakers who explain why eating this way is a good idea, but many people need help with how to do it. At this meeting Marc and Kim will give a presentation with real life examples of what they buy and what they eat. They will have actual food items and packages from their kitchen so that you can easily recognize them when you go shopping. They will also explain some tricks about how to cook without oil and show you some of the pots and pans they use at home to make this easier. Need some recipes? Handouts with their favorite recipes will also be available.
We are also thrilled to welcome our friend, Curt Karaban. As you probably know from hearing Marc’s story, whole foods, plant-based nutrition helped Marc reverse type 2 diabetes. But this lifestyle helps people with heart issues as well. Curt has an amazing experience to share with you about how nutrition has helped him and his heart. He has a truly inspirational story about turning his life around after being diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2012. He will share his experiences with plant-based nutrition and his journey to better health.
